I am a Clinical Psychologist who specialises in working with children, adolescents and families in Leatherhead, Surrey.
I am registered with the Health & Care Professions Council

I completed my undergraduate degree in Psychology in 1993 at the University of Exeter and then my Masters degree at the University of Surrey. Training as a Clinical Psychologist then involves a 3 year doctorate which I also completed at the University of Exeter. I qualified in 1998.
Since 1998 I have worked in a Child & Adolescent Mental Health Service (NHS), at The University of Surrey on the Clinical Psychology Training Programme and in private practice. I have worked in many different clinics including those specialising in helping young people with ADHD, social communication disorders and eating disorders. I have worked alongside health visitors helping parents of younger children and also in a Youth Offending Team. I have completed a number of other training courses including Solution Focused Brief Therapy; Forensic Adolescent Mental Health; Parenting Assessments and Reflective Practice; CBT supervision; The Supervisory Relationship; Supervision & Narrative Practices, Interpersonal Therapy (level A), Working from an Attachment Perspective, and The Autism Diagnostic Interview.
I worked as a Senior Teaching Fellow on the Clinical Psychology Training Programme at The University of Surrey in Guildford for 14 years. Throughout this period I oversaw the development of Clinical Psychology trainees, taught on the training programme and provided training for supervisors. I also coordinated training placements based in children's services, and oversaw the selection process for the programme. I still input to the programme in terms of teaching and marking.
