As a Clinical Psychologist I offer therapy in line with the National
Institute for Health and Clinical Excellence guidelines.  However, the actual therapy offered will vary according to the nature of the difficulties being experienced by children and families.  The main therapy approaches I use are cognitive behavioural therapy, solution focused therapy, behavioural therapy and narrative therapy
These are all kinds of talking therapy.

The types of difficulties families seek help for include:

Pre school issues e.g. sleeping, eating, toileting & tantrums

School based difficulties e.g. peer relationships & attendance
Adaptation to life events e.g. the arrival of siblings, divorce, bereavement
Depression & low mood
Anxiety (including phobias and OCD)
Eating disorders
Difficulty managing anger
Autism and Asperger's behavioural management

I offer an a full assessment and diagnostic service for Autistic Spectrum Disorders alonngside my colleague, Dr Melanie Smart

If you are experiencing any other difficulties I am more than happy to discuss these with you on the phone to see whether I can help or give you information on where to seek appropriate assistance.
